KARAK, Oct 07: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leader Shams Ur Rehman criticized the local Govt. from the district Karak for failing to provide water recourses and electricity.
Speaking at a video massage held at the residence of former MNA Shamsur Rehman Khattak at Makori, he criticized the local government as a failure and said that there is still no plan for water and electricity development projects due to which the people are facing a lot of problems in many areas of the district Karak. In particular, he criticized the local government for non-availability of water and electricity.
PTI local leaders Kamran Khattak, Engineer Rasheed, Altaf Aghan, Malik Rabi Rehman and others were in attendance. They claimed that the lawmakers from the district had failed to convince the PTI-led provincial government to establish oil refinery in Karak. They added that all vital issues of public importance remained unresolved so far due to the inefficiency of the elected representatives.
He said "I am addressing you; after a long time, because I was giving a chance to local governments and see how long they ignore our regional problems & issues. And how much truth is there in fulfilling the promises that were made before the election".
They claimed that MNA Shahid Khattak and MPA Muhammad Khursheed Khattak and Muhammad Sajjad had no time for the ideological workers.
Former MNA Shamsur Rehman said, that I have discussed some issues with the officials of WAPDA and said that at the regional level the youth have to come forward and find solutions to these issues.
WATER SHORTAGE: The residents of Khadda Banda of Karak tehsil have demanded fixing the out of order water pump to restore water supply to the area. They complained that the area water supply scheme was out of order for last two months.
Shams Ur Rehman addressing a video massage, he said women had to fetch water buckets from far off areas on their heads.
They said the local public health engineering department had turned a blind eye to the problem despite being informed many times.
They threatened to stage protests if their demand was not fulfilled within next few week.—Correspondent
